Book Summary:

Having been ambushed in San Francisco, which is now fully engulfed in the zombie plague, Ashley and the wild cards must pursue the enemy to San Diego. There they will discover a splinter of their own organization, the Dolofónoi tou Zontanoús Nekroús, which seeks to weaponize the plague. But that isn't the worst news. The plague has gone airborne, making it transferable without physical contract. It cannot be controlled by anyone, so reports of the zombie swarm are coming in from across the United States - and across the world.

Book Review:

Ashley Parker is one awesome heroine who definitely makes you like her more with every book. This book definitely was a lot more intense than the previous two books as the stakes are much higher for everyone. The whole world is now in jeopardy as everyone has to deal with the zombie outbreak in a way that’s unexpected.

Ashely and the rest of the wild cards have a lot to deal with. Not to mention that they have so many unknown variables as to why would someone unleash this plague purposely. This person is the most dangerous person in the world at the moment. We don’t know who is doing this or their motivations and that makes for one scary enemy. Also as we go through this book that we find some of the wild cards are coping with their issues a lot more effectively than others.

Lili is the one that Ashley worries about the most. Lili acts like she is in her own world and has her reasons. Plus her meds are starting to make her even a little bit lets unsay unbalanced. Having an unbalanced wild card could make things a lot worse. So Ashley and the rest of the wild cards try to find Lil meds from other places knowing that they will have to deal with zombies trying to get her meds. This proves very dangerous indeed.

The newest wild card is always doing something to make Ashley uncomfortable with the way he acts. He is also kind of sleazy. Always trying to put the moves on her. He is a bit of a douchebag in my opinion because Ashley is trying to save the people she loves from a very bad fate. We also learn that Griff acts the way he does for certain reasons, but they are not clear at first.

Then there is a traitor in the group we find out that has been feeding them information about their missions and what they are up to. It really is scary to think that this person is risking everything for some weird reason. We later find out that the traitor is the last person you would ever expect. We do find through some intense action scenes who their enemy is and why they are doing this. It’s really scary to think that this man’s delusions and the reasons for it kind of make sense, but still what he has unleashed is definitely not good.

This book had some of the craziest scenes and moments that I’ve ever seen in a zombie book. I definitely loved reading this. I really want to read the next book in the series to see if Ashley Parker gets a happy ending in this crazy world or not.
