Book Summary:

One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.

Smart. Responsible. That's seventeen-year-old Breanna's role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully's line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas "Razor" Turner into her life.

Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don't belong. But when he learns she's being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it's time to step outside the rules.

And so they make a pact: he'll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she'll help him seek answers to the mystery that's haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they're both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they're going from here.

Book Review:

A totally wonderful romance between two people who feel like they don’t fit in anywhere in their town or in their homes. Razor and Breanna seem like total opposites in every way possible, but things happen that change everything for the two of them.

Razor aka Thomas feels like an outsider in the town and even in the Reign of Terror motorcycle club that his father and some of this friends belong to. The Reign of Terror is like a family, but Razor aka Thomas has never really felt like he fit in. There are so many issues between him and his father. Thomas has always been affected by his mothers death. There are a lot of things that have been kept by the club and he doesn’t understand why this has happened.

Breanna feels like her parents don’t understand her or care about what she needs. She feels like they always favor her other siblings and make her do the work that they should be doing. Breanna feels like she is suffocating in Snowflake. Breanna is really smart and her brain at times works very differently than her siblings or other peoples. Her parents don’t want to send her to the private school that she really wants to go to. They act like they can’t spare it and don’t even really listen to her at times. Its like they see what they want to see and that’s frustrating for her to live with.

Breanna and Razor first meet because she needs some protection not realizing that their lives are going to become so entwined with one another. Things happen that neither of them expect. So much of what Breanna knows and does help Thomas in ways that he never expects. Yet as the book progresses they start to fall for one another, and that has consequences for both of them that neither of them can imagine.

Breanna gets blackmailed by a guy named Kyle who is desperate to get out of Snowflake and he takes a photo of Breanna and Razor in what looks like a very comprising position. This photo if it goes live on the internet has the potential to damage her reputation and much more. People dislike the Reign of Terror, but half the time the stories are not true. Gossip really rules this town.

I totally found that this book takes some interesting twists and the threats have happened to other people in town. We learn some things about how this group operates according to Violet as she was blackmailed, then a picture went live, and she lost a scholarship that she needed. Violet is a very important character because she helps both Breanna and Razor realize that things are not always what they seem and not to listen to gossip and rumors.

This book had so many great moments. We learn that the club was trying to protect Razor from the real truth. Their arch rivals the Riot were the ones who killed his mother. His mother was his world. We learn through the codes that were left behind. The romance was solidly built and these two people were ones that you start to see they care about one another. Things transpire that make things go wild and it happens in  such a way you really understand all the characters motivations. I really found myself loving the way things turned out.

A very happy ending that I didn’t expect, but it felt real to me and wasn’t your cookie cutter one either.

  1. Razor was my favorite character from the first book but I never got around to buying and reading it. At least not yet. Great review!
