Book Summary:

College drop-out, Roxy Cumberland, moved to New York with dreams of becoming an actress, but her dwindling bank account is quickly putting the kibosh on that fantasy. To make some quick cash, she signs up to perform singing telegrams. Her first customer is a gorgeous, cocky Manhattan trust-funder if she ever laid eyes on one. And what could be more humiliating than singing an ode to his junk, courtesy of his last one night stand? Maybe the fact that she’s dressed in a giant, pink bunny costume...

After a night out to celebrate winning his last case, lawyer Louis McNally II isn’t prepared for the pounding in his head or the rabbit serenading him from the front door. But the sassy wit and sexy voice of the girl behind the mask intrigues him, and one look at her stunning face—followed by a mind-blowing kiss against his doorjamb—leaves Louis wanting more.

Roxy doesn’t need a spoiled rich boy who’s had everything in life handed to him on a Tiffany platter. But there’s more to Louis than his sexy surface and he’s determined to make Roxy see it...even if it means chasing her all over NYC.

Book Review:

This was a great book to read. The characters of Roxy and Louis just have personalities that sparkle and their chemistry right from the start is electric. The humor was one of the things that I immediately loved about this book so very much.

I thought that the way they meet is so funny. Roxy is struggling to make ends meet after she is nearly out of money and gets paid to dress up as a singing rabbit after someone wants to piss Louis off. Louis finds this singing bunny and wants to know who is behind the bunny mask. When he does he is immediately attracted to this woman. This woman is interesting at least to him. Louis wants to know who this woman really is.

One of the things that I like about Louis and Roxy is how honest they are about the reality of their lives, careers, and some other things that are going on with them. The thing that I love about Louis is how determined he is to find this woman. Also the fact that he likes doing pro-bono work as a lawyer and wants to do more of it. He thinks that it’s important to do good things as a human being. I totally found him to be a very strong character with some very interesting facets of his personality.

Also Roxy is struggling with her own career. Her career is not going the way that she thought it would. She is also struggling with her finances in a bit of a freefall. So of course she finds a new place to live courtesy of a woman who is looking for two new roommates. The place is only $200 bucks which is quite a steal in NYC (Highly unrealistic though, so just go with it.) I like how she manages to find that things start looking up. I also like how Louis is looking for this woman and he finds Roxy through some begging of a former one night hookup. I like how even though they might not have anything in common, their chemistry just sizzles through out the book.

I totally love how their relationship starts, grows, and gets more interesting and complex. There are the scenes which seem so hot between them. The sex scenes were utterly stunningly some of the best I’ve ever read. You get that there is lust, attraction and a realism of these two individuals who are both driven but in different ways. The way they both grow together as a couple and individuals was great. I also like how they find support from each other when they need it the most was really good. I thought it was interesting how people from two different backgrounds could work in  the most unexpected ways. This was a solid relationship. Their careers are also interesting and their paths seem to be on different trajectories, but  they feel like things are going to work out in some way, but it does in a way neither expected.

This book was very short, and I thought it could have been longer, but I totally enjoyed it in so many ways. The two characters were awesomely written. A wonderful new adult romance. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
